The best print for a watercolour reproduction should be a paper with tooth (texture). We recommend you ARCHES® Aquarelle 310gsm with a Cold Press watercolour texture. If you prefer a less marked surface, you can of course use the ARCHES® BFK Rives White or Pure White or Edition Etching Rag 310gsm.
Watercolour reproductions also work with a smoother base, such as Rag Photographique 240 or 310gsm or ARCHES® 88 310gsm.

We advise you to use a more textured paper if the reproduction size is bigger than the original masterpiece, and a less textured surface if the reproduction is smaller than the original.

This will make it possible to reproduce the finest detail.

You can test the various possibilities with the ARCHES® Discovery Pack or Canson Infinity Discovery Pack.
