Belinda Richards is an internationally acclaimed pet photographer, photographic artist and educator, and the creative force behind Frog Dog Studios in Melbourne, Australia.

 A lifelong animal lover with a slightly obsessive appreciation for all the weird and wonderful things they do, Belinda has built her career around capturing the personality, humour and individuality of the animals in front of her camera. Her work is colourful, highly polished and often a little unexpected, combining technical precision with storytelling and a healthy dose of humour. 

Belinda is a five-time Australian Pet/Animal Photographer of the Year, the 2025 International Dog Photographer of the Year and the 2026 International Feline Photographer of the Year. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from RMIT University and has earned Master and Fellow distinctions with photographic organisations around the world. 

Her work has been exhibited internationally and featured in publications including Forbes, Business Insider, PetaPixel, Fstoppers and My Modern Met.

When she is not photographing animals, Belinda can usually be found talking about photographing animals. As an international speaker, educator and photography judge, she shares her knowledge through workshops, conferences and mentoring, helping photographers develop their technical skills, find their creative voice and create work that feels distinctly their own.
