Pep Bonet announces latest solo exhibitioin

On Sunday March 5th between 11h and 14h I will have the opening of my long term project & exhibition “PARADÍS”  in Koln at the Michael Horbach Gallery.

It’s a 7 year journey photographing the beautiful Island of Mallorca. “Paradís" explores trough photography the relation between people from Mallorca and their surrounding nature and breaks all the cliches and preconceived ideas of a touristic party Island, trough a poetic and intimate look.
With texts from poet @Bielmesquida soon there will be a book published by @disset
All images were shot between 2016 and 2022 on Instant film FP-100C trough the process of Negative Reclamation. 
It’s been a long journey, shooting and bleaching negatives for so long took me back to my roots, and took me back to the Mallorca I had in my memory when I was a kid. 
The Island of Mallorca is no longer that place, and I hope with my photographs to make you feel the magic and beauty of the people in this paradise.
The exhibition is framed with vintage frames and very old family frames and museum glass. I worked on restoring all the frames as hard as I worked on my photographs. 
There are 137 photographs in the show plus the documentary film about this project shot by the Director @matteovielile that will also be screened.
