How the New Somerset Enhanced Papers Are Made

Set in the historic city of Wells, in the West of England, St Cuthberts mill is where the magic happens, providing a firsthand look at the meticulous process of paper manufacturing.

Produced by our skilled artisan printmakers, the Somerset Enhanced papers are crafted using a traditional cylinder mould. This time-honoured technique imparts a distinctive texture and authenticity to the papers, giving them a look and feel reminiscent of classic fine art mediums.

Thank you to the team at Harwood King, a Canson Infinity Certified Print Lab, for this video which captures the essence of the traditional fine art paper making process.
