"As a black & white photographer, I have finaly found the paper that really corresponds to me: Rag Photographique. This paper is capable of giving real deep blacks, it reproduces precisely the grain of my photos whilst keeping the emotion of my subjects. On top of that, the fine surface texture delivers a superior detail level compared to what I use to work with before trying this great paper. "

Born in 1962, Patrick Poidaudeau freely gives his vision of mankind. On the other side of the world, he likes to experience the atmosphere of the place. From the remote areas of Africa or Latin American, he tries to capture the timeless beauty and emotions of the people he meets.

Starting from 1981, he traveled from the North to the South of Europe. In 1986, he went around North America and South East Asia for a year. Back in France, he showed his work to students from his region. Since then, his camera has never left him.

For 10 years, Latin American became his favorite area. Several exhibitions were made on this subject. At the beginning of 2000, he discovered Africa. This continent gave him its special light, faces and soul.

In 2006, he was the winner, with unanimous support, of the French FujiFilm/Réponses Photo photo contest. His photos of Mozambic took him to Maputo for a shared exhibition wih Rino SCUCCATO and the support of the French ambassy. Since 2009, the French photo magazine Réponses Photo has published several pages on his work, especialy the photos taken in the Mozambic island.

He is a special partner of Canson and his images are presented on the communication around the Canson Infinity range of Digital Fine Art & Photo media.
