Established in January, 1999, The Alan S. Maltz Gallery located at 1210 Duval Street in Old Town, Key West serves as Maltz's spacious studio and features his cutting-edge fine art, innovative framing designs and published works. His second gallery recently opened on Sanibel Island, Florida.

In 2005, VISIT FLORIDA selected Mr. Maltz as their "Official Fine Art Photographer for the State of Florida". Additionally, in 2006, he was designated as "The Official Wildlife Photographer of Florida" by the Wildlife Foundation of Florida. Maltz and his work have been featured in leading national and regional publications, including ARTnews, The New Yorker, The Robb Report, U.S. Airways, Publishers Weekly, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Miami Herald, The New York Post, Newsday, and Florida Monthly chose him as one of the "21 Intriguing Floridians." His acclaimed books have received numerous honors and recognition.

Alan Maltz has published several books, including Celebrities of Nature (1992), Key West Color (1995), Miami…City of Dreams (1997), and Florida…Beyond the blue horizon (2006). His next collection, Visions of Beauty…The beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel will be released in the fall of 2008.
